We are pleased that the Los Angeles City Council approved the Palisades Village project today. We are grateful for all of the support and input that has guided this project over the last two years. The community participation in the process has continued to make this a better project, and we are humbled by the opportunity to create this special gathering place for all of you.
Councilmember Mike Bonin shares, “I’m thrilled. This is a project that will revitalize downtown Palisades and give the neighborhood the thriving community center it deserves. The most frequent question I’ve gotten about Palisades Village has been “when are they going to start building it?” I’m very excited to finally be able to answer “Soon!”
Again, we thank you all for your support and patience. Now that we are approved, we will be moving forward with some construction work, which includes the storm drain relocation that is scheduled to begin June 27. We will share more details on the storm drain relocation the middle of next week, but please note there will be no trace of work on July 4!
